Hello, I'm Claire!

I am a civil/environmental engineer and hydrologist that is dedicated to sustainable water resource management and capacity building. I aim to bridge various sectors and disciplines in order to promote holistic and practical outcomes.

I am currently based in northern Uganda as an International Agriculture Education Fellow with Catholic Relief Services. My work is focused on strengthening secondary school-based agriculture education, youth extension, and community engagement.

I earned my doctoral degree from the University of Washington (UW) in 2020 and conducted postdoctoral research at Florida International University from 2020-2023. I am a licensed Professional Engineer and previously worked as a consulting environmental engineer at CH2M (now Jacobs). I hold a Bachelor of Science in civil and environmental engineering from the University of California, Berkeley (UCB). I was born and raised in Madera, the heart of California.
