Hello, I'm Claire!

I am a PhD candidate in civil and environmental engineering at the University of Washington (UW) in Seattle, WA, USA. My research is at the intersection of river hydrology, sediment transport, watershed management, and capacity building. I work with Professor Faisal Hossain in the SASWE Research Group. I am currently a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow.

I am a licensed Professional Engineer and previously worked as a consulting environmental engineer at CH2M (now Jacobs). I hold a Bachelor of Science in civil and environmental engineering from the University of California, Berkeley (UCB). I was born and raised in the Central Valley of California.

I have been a leader of interdisciplinary and action-oriented organizations such as the UW Freshwater Initiative and UCB Engineers Without Borders-USA.
